Some people are happy to stay in one spot. Let them sit there. I have other plans.

Mostly wide shots from the upper terraces. These are the iconic photos seen around the world.

In my office suite, we have a 6x6 image on one wall. The photo was purchased from Amazon. Hope I came up with a better photo(s).

Going up.

One of the spots most people take their photos. We had other plans.

Stairs.

Inca lawn mowers. Some at rest.

Paul, guide for today, knew where to get the photos I was looking for. We went past the people taking selfies and and phone camera pics, moving to a further section of the terrace.

The intrepid explorer.

The Urubamba river in the valley. Paul said it could be a rushing torrent in the rainy season.

Ceremonial burial grounds

Paul. Guide for the 2nd day.

And a little goofing off with the camera.

Hard to describe. Must be self experienced to be fully aware.

We'll close this series with a final post: Cusco, capital of the Inca.
