New Orleans!

Finally getting an assortment of incidental photos published from the January wedding and trip. I quickly fell in love with this city. We will return because there are more stories to tell and to be made.

The wedding events from the previous post started here. Great food & great people.

Lots of street scenes in this post. This is Canal Street.

Plenty of corporate monstrosities to separate the tourists from their dollars. Never went inside. Had too many other places to go.

Downtown near the river. Longest train I have ever seen. Carrying oil from the Gulf of Mexico.

Preview for the next post.

Looking up Canal Street.

Just across the street from our hotel on St.Charles Ave. I could see a small apartment here if constant visits to the city were the norm.

The next few photos are from that well known street called Bourbon.

Yes. You see blue lights on a mini car. Wonder what constitutes a paddy wagon for this division?

Besides the blond cutie, check out the store. I bought a great Dobbs Gable from Mr. Sam Meyer. He's a 3rd generation hatter with his sons claiming 4th. Wearing that hat, I'm the coolest guy on the street.

Time for gelato! We had just left Commanders' Palace for lunch. Highly recommended. And we each had our limit of the $.25 martinis.

Breakfast!

Night time on Bourbon Street.

In the next post, we're going for a ride. Powered by a steam engine. Stay tuned.
